Alarms, Suicidal Dogs and SlimFast - OH MY!!!
08:19pm 09/11/2009

Alright, so I'll just start at the beginning. I slept in. My mom tried to wake me up in time for school, but I insisted on sleeping in. I figured that I just wouldn't go to class today. I mean, it wasn't like we were going to go over anything important, you know? We were just going to go over our test results. Nothing special.

But, with my mom being the super-powered woman that she is, I finally decided to get up and shower after she used the frustrated/guilt tone in her voice. That and the extra alarm she set up in my room.

So after I finally got showered, dressed, make-uped and out to my car, it was already 11:15 am. My class starts at 11:30 am and it takes a good twenty-five minutes to get to the college campus from my house (I live several miles out of the city limits from the opposite side of town.) So I'm going about 60mph down flood road(a country road that leads from town to the countryside), barely had time to grab a SlimFast out from the fridge, when lo and behold, what do you suppose I come across?

A F----ING SUICIDAL GERMAN SHEPARD DECIDES TO RUN IN FRONT OF MY BLOODY CAR!!! WTFH?!?! IT JUST RAN OUT, STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND WATCHED AS MY CAR GOES SPEEDING TOWARDS IT AS THOUGH IT WERE THE MOST INTERESTING THING IN THE WORLD!!!

Well, after slamming on my brakes and swerving, the blasted dog was fine, but my car got very up and personal with the ditch. ARGH! By the time I got to school it was aboout 12 noon. Oh joy! Now I am never going to be able to enjoy speeding down Flood Road w/out worrying about a bloody dog going suicidal again!

Good ol' Montana...

21st B-Day... Not So Magical
10:32pm 21/09/2009

Alright everybody, the day we all feared has arrived. As of this morning I am officially 21 years old. WOW! I have to admit, I'm really surprised that I lived to see this day!

Needless to say, I had always thought this day to be one to remember. A day full of drinking, of partying, and hell, full of being stuck on stupid! Alas, none of these things have happened... well, maybe that's a good thing, but still this day was not as great as I thought.

You see, not only is this my 21st birthday, but it is my Golden Birthday. For those of you who don't know what that is, a Golden Birthday is when your age is the same as the day you were born. So for me, turning 21 years old on September 21 is my Golden Birthday.

Anyways, I started the day off by sleeping through my alarm clock and missing work. When I woke up I was freaked because I'm a bus aide for the city's school system, so I have to be at work around 6am every morning to help with the kids. The bus station's really strict on missing work: 3 strikes and your out(aka fired). So I called them and they said that they had someone to cover for me for the day, but I was still really worried.

Afterwards, I took a shower and was putting on my make-up when: NEWS FLASH! I was going to be late to class! So I had to hurry, all while not being able to find my books, and drive to the campus, which was on the opposite side of town. Now, I knew that we had a test over Chapter 4 in Intro to Visual Arts that day, but imagine my surprise when I was handed Chapter 5 test! Turns out we had two separate tests! Talk about bummer.

So I finally manage to finish both tests and decide to visit my old high school, which was right down the road a few blocks, but not before getting a coffee. Because as we all now, you can't get through the day without caffeine. So I'm driving over to good old Central, when I hit a bump in the road. My coffee goes all over my lap! Talk about an uncomfortable ride. And to top it off, most of the teachers weren't even there. On a plus, though, I made my principle, Mr. Smith, feel really old when I told him it was my 21st, and Ms. Voss, the music teacher, had everyone in the band talk in an English accent.

Afterwards, I decided to stop my Hastings Bookstore, which is along 10th Ave, the most traffic active area in the entire town. You have to understand that in order to get to the Hastings parking lot, you have to turn into a narrow driveway that is directly parallel from the highway. Now lots of people now that you need to slow down when you get to this area, whether or not the person in front of you has their blinkers on.

I had my blinkers on and slowed down so to make my turn, only to find some lady was coming out of the driveway as I was going in, only she was smack dab in the middle instead of the far right. To top it off, the *itch was looking down and messing around on her cell phone! I couldn't turn far enough into the driveway without hitting her car or the cars in the parking lot, so I had to slam on my brakes. Well, the car behind me ended up rear-ending me! So here I am, stuck in the middle of a busy highway, half of my car on the highway and the other half in the parking lot, pinned between a big old pick-up truck and a small turquoise car. The lady in the truck behind me is cussing and yelling, and the lady that's hogging the road is waiting for me to move! Finally the lady puts here cell away and backs up, only to drive through the back way, and the pick-up truck just drives off without another word!

Fortunately all I got was a little scuff along the plastic bumper, so nothing to worry about.

So that was the horrors of my day. The rest was pretty dull. I stayed at Hastings to work on a project for school, and then went shopping for new jeans with my mom. Afterwards we went to Chili's with my family for dinner and opened presents while we waited for our food. Had a strawberry daiquiri, which wasn't that big a deal, and then went home to type this. I got some cool presents. A peweter fairy angel, some jewelry, a Barlow Girl cd... funny thing is, everyone who gave me gift cards gave me a Hastings card. It's a joke that I live there. Oh! and my dad gave me a bottle of 2007 wine from Germany.

Overall, it was just an average day.

1st Day of School = 1st Day of Work

Alright, I'm sorry that it's been awhile since I last posted, but my internet has been really whack as of late.

Anyways, yesterday was the first day of public school in my hometown, ans that means that it was also my first day of work as a bus aide on the special needs bus.

Despite having to wake up at 4:30 am, it's actually really fun. The kids are great and I have a blast talking to them. They can be a handful at times, but they're still sweet kids. George, the bus driver, is also really cool. He's been really helping me with getting a hang of the ropes around the bus.

1st day of work
06:30pm 27/05/2009

Well, yesterday was my 1st day back at work. I'm currently working as a Courtesy Clerk at Smith's Grocer and Drug. I was told on Saturday that to come in around 4pm, and that my scheduale would be up. Imajine my suprise when I show up for work and not only is my scheduale not posted, but the supervisor in charge had no idea that I was even suppose to be working! I have absolutely no idea when I'm suppose to clock out! Man!

So Emmi, my supervisor said told me to clock out at 8pm, and that she'd find out my schedule by today. Well, I called her about my workhours, but she said that they wouldn't have them down until Saturday. Talk about a tough time.

Overall, however, I had a blast. I really love working at Smith's, and I had so much fun working with all the guys from last summer. The only bummer is that my friend, Amanda, isn't working there anymore, so it's not as much fun. Last summer, back when she was a checker, we would have too much fun. Whenever I bagged for her, we would sing and tell jokes, and make the customers laugh. We still hang, but work's just not the same. SIIIGGGHHH...

AMANDA! I NEED YOU!!! QUIT THE EVIL MCDONALDS AND COME BACK TO ME!!!!
